Why not do something that you love doing and raise money for charity at the same time? We would love to speak to you about how you can make a great impact to the lives of those in need by holding your own fundraising event. Here are a few ideas of different fundraisers you could hold between friends and family, or a larger audience, but be creative! The most important thing is to just do what you love doing, in your way, at a time that suits you!
We would be happy to guide you through the logistics if it is your first time holding an event, and we are able to supply materials such as T-shirts, banners, pop up stands, donation tins, flyers, and videos. Of course, where possible, Collective Calling could also attend the event to give a quick talk, providing an insight to the crisis, what we have witnessed, how we have helped and how far generous donations really do go.
Hold your favorite sports tournament
“ Maybe you play a sport at a sports club like padel, tennis, golf, cycling, running, volleyball etc. You could ask your club or members to take part in a tournament for that sport in aid of one of our projects.
“ Host a dinner party for friends, family or work colleagues – charge them for the price of the meal plus a little extra for charity. You could ask your local businesses to offer some raffle prizes and hold a raffle and/or auction as well and donate the proceeds to one of our projects.
“ Same as a dinner party but just for the girls! We know how ladies love to get together so why not combine that with a special one for charity? You could bake some cakes perhaps and sell those too! Be creative here, you know what your girls love, focus it around them and have fun!
“ Be brave and do a challenge! Ask your friends, family and work colleagues to then raise sponsorship money for you to complete it! You could do a marathon, a swim, a walkathon, a sky dive, bungee jump or even a head shave! You could set up a www.justgiving.com page as a platform for them to sponsor you?
“ When it´s summertime and it´s sweltering. What can you do to cool people off and raise money at the same time? Host a pool party! Considerations: Connect with your local pool (community/town) or perhaps hire a villa with a pool. Raise money by an entrance fee, and perhaps a 50:50 raffle, selling food etc.
Car Boot / Garage / Yard Sale
“ Everyone has a closet or garage full of things that they need to get rid of, so urge your community to bust out their old lawn mowers, clothes and furniture to give for one of our projects.
