These groups consist of anywhere between 20 and 115 people in each group, with a leadership structure.
Once these groups have been formed, they continue with the identification process within their local community and support is provided for livelihood projects for the groups, such as agriculture, livestock rearing and crafts. 300,000+ refugees reside here, so the identification process is a challenge.
It was an honour to meet with 4 of these groups yesterday to learn more about their key challenges and how we can support them through our #containerofhope initiative. We can´t describe how blown away and humbled we are from the unity that these groups have and the progression that they have made, despite the heavy challenges that they face.
We are looking forward to visiting the most vulnerable persons within Nyarugusu refugee camp and bringing support directly to them.
