Orphaned at a young age, she was left in the care of her uncle\u2014an abusive alcoholic who provided neither love nor protection. With nowhere else to turn, the streets became her reality, a dangerous world for a young girl with no one to look out for her.<\/p><p>That all changed when Kerodia was rescued and brought to the Centre of Hope. For the first time in her life, she had a safe place to sleep, regular meals, medical care, and most importantly, love and guidance.<\/p><p>Despite everything she had endured, she was eager to learn. Having never attended school before, she was placed in a special program where she worked tirelessly to catch up. In just four years, she completed her primary education\u2014an incredible achievement\u2014graduating with straight As.<\/p><p>Now 17 years old, Kerodia has set her sights on a future that once seemed impossible, she wants to become a doctor.
